Alien Sea Creatures

Sonia Delaunay & Alien Sea Creatures is a series of knitted experiments. The initial inspiration was the color combinations in Sonia Delaunay's art and design. Building from Delaunay's concept of Simultaneism, the use of contrasting color to create rhythm and movement, I found similar rhythms in the swirling colors of coral reefs and focused on sea creatures with abstract and alien appearances. The series explores material, form, and scale.
